MSBNPE has granted provisional affiliation for the GNM programme for the academic year 2026-27 with an intake of 60 seats. The same intake was approved for 2025-26. The new GNM programme also received a Government Resolution from the Government of Maharashtra, Medical Education and Drugs Department.

Every affiliated nursing school in Maharashtra is issued an MSBNPE institute code. When you are comparing colleges, ask for that code and check it against the board's own records. A college that cannot give you a code, or gives you one that does not match its name, is a college worth asking harder questions about.

General Nursing and Midwifery is a diploma programme that prepares you for registration as a nurse and midwife. The course combines classroom teaching with supervised clinical practice in a hospital setting, following the INC syllabus. Eligibility, the admission calendar and the documents required are set by MSBNPE and can change between academic years.
